Martin Sheen, President material?

Possibly the most over mellow dramatic/over dramatic actor I have ever seen in years.  It amazes me that I have been hearing roomers, and I hope they are roomers, that  Martin Sheen is considering running for President of the United States of TV, I mean America.  Is there something I'm missing?  Not to long ago I remember watching Martin Sheen in court being told not to attend or promote any more protest assemblies for what I thought was suppose to be 5 years.  Next I saw Martin with Duck top across his mouth as he protested silence.  Is our entire society governed by TV?
