Another victim of Internet Treasure Chest, case #38914

"Cancellation of internet treasure chest in 12/2002. Still billing (06/26/2003.)"

"Site wouldn't except my website ID, never received phone call or correspondence. Please bring this to the attn: Adriana. Thank you....please reply"

Internet Treasure Chest (01/2003), case #31482

After reading this issue, please read Internet Treasury Chest response dated  10/08/2003

Our customer responded to an Internet Treasure Chest (ITC) TV advertisement, in which ITC offered a

complete "turnkey" online store with thousands of products to sell and of course support, plus the added

assurance of a "30 day, full money back guarantee."  How could anyone go wrong?  Well, hold on a minute

and we'll see.  ITC's version of the thousands of items, turned out to mean the customer could chose 50

of the thousand or more items to display, but would have to pay for the right to display any additional items

of ITC's.  In addition, their was a slight problem with support, there wasn't any!  Three or four days of emailing,

followed by numerous calls soon let the customer know, he wanted nothing more to do with ITC.

Fortunately ITC offered the "30 day, full money back guarantee", but trying to get ITC to recognize their own

guarantee was much more of a problem then without one.  In fact, our customer is still receiving calls, email and credit threats from ITC, even though the merchandise was sent back to ITC the first week, over 15

months ago.

The following email was just received by our customer from Internet Treasure Chest, again almost a year and

a half after the products had been returned and the order canceled.  In addition, the customer claimed that

he has received relentless calls from ITC attempting to push him into additional services and fees, claiming

"you can't cancel!"

Warning: Customer states "Watch out for Internet Treasure Chest!"

Below you will find the latest ITC email, followed by the his response.

Customer's response to Internet Treasure Chest Pursuit

You are really an amazing company!  You first advertised your site and products with a 30day non-conditional money back warranty, also offering complete support.  However, once we received the product, you had no support!  You never returned any of our calls or emails, you tried to bait us by advertising thousands of products, then tried to charge us if we used anything over 100 of your own cheap items.  In addition the "quality items" you offered looked more like they belonged in a dollar store.  To add more embarrassment to your own defunked company, you called my home over and over again, not knowing we had sent the product back after the first week we had received it.  Lower yet, your pinhead sales staff, was rude, pushy, totally unprofessional and relentless.  None of your so called staff knew what "no thanks" meant and none had enough knowledge to know what the status was about any of this.  We had to tell your idiots more than 8 different times, "the product had been returned, and we are not interested."
As far as our companies are concerned, you cost our company a lot of time and energy by "faults advertising."
Since our attorneys are on retainers anyways, we would welcome an opertunatety to see you in court.

John
P.S. Your company is exactly one of the things that is wrong with America!
By the way, don't you think a year after the fact is a little stupid to contact someone by a "support team?"
We are done wasting our breath with you morons.
