August 4th, 2003 the Washing Post reported:

Secretary of State Colin Powell and one of his top deputies had supposedly told the White House they will not serve a second term.  Sources say Power has made commitments to his wife after ending this term in office.

I for one, think Colin Powell has been one of America's best examples of what not only a polities should speak and act like, but also a great individual.  Our family hopes Mr. Powell reconsider and hopefully President Bush will add one or two more staff members to assist Powell and allow him to spend more time with his family.
